Wednesday, April 27, Maravela|Asociaţii was a key and active part of the HotSpot Braşov event, as part of the Sustainable Romania project, organized under the aegis of DeBizz Magazine, the only German-Romanian business publication on the market.

Gathering business sector top members, public authorities’ representatives and being moderated by Daniel Apostol, a renowned Romanian economic media figure, the event aimed to elicit interest in the development of Braşov’s economy and local community, a city considered to be the heart of Romania and having a very important economic growth potential. To this end, the event consisted of interactive debates meant to provide pragmatic, feasible and practical solutions.

Maravela|Asociații stood alongside key notable speakers such as Mr. Ciprian Băncilă (Prefect Brașov County), Mr. Serge Durand (General Manager Airbus Helicopters Romania), Mr. Horațiu Țepeș (CEO Bilka Romania), Mr. Alexandru Tănase, (Partner CITR Brașov), Mr. Cristian Macedonschi (President Smart City Romania) and Ms. Bartha Biborka (Sales Ambassador Kronospan Romania), who flagged out as main challenges the acute and stringent need for professional formation in order to create highly skilled labour force as well as the infrastructure’s poor level of development.

Alina Popescu, Co-Managing Partner of Maravela|Asociații, held a presentation about essential aspects concerning State aid, an essential means of financing in view of investment development, taking into consideration that the area of Braşov benefits from a 50% State aid intensity during 2014-2020 (highest rate in Romania, according to the regional map approved at the EU level, seen that other areas benefit from rates ranging from 10% to 50%).

Equally present at the event, Gelu Maravela, Managing Partner Maravela|Asociații stated: “The lectures were extremely interesting and I have perceived the elevated mobilization and drive of the business environment and public authorities in view of economic boost and enhancement. The event represented an important opportunity for informal dialogue as well as information, opinion and ideas exchange between public and private sectors, key factors for a sustainable development.
